1. Introduction

Ascendant Labs Pte. Ltd. ("Ascendant Labs", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Snooze Goose mobile application for iOS.

We believe personal sleep and bedroom audio should remain strictly under your control. Snooze Goose operates as an on-device utility. We do not operate remote servers to analyze or store your recordings, and we do not sell or monetize your data.

2. Microphone Access & Audio Processing

Snooze Goose requires access to your device microphone solely to detect and analyze snoring while you sleep.

  • Activated by You: The microphone is only used when you start a sleep tracking session.
  • Processed On-Device: Audio is analyzed directly in memory on your iPhone to detect snoring events and calculate sleep metrics.
  • Local Audio Highlights: The app saves short audio clips (typically a few seconds long) of detected snoring moments so you can listen back in the morning. These clips are saved only within the app on your iPhone.
  • Never Uploaded: Your audio is never sent over the internet or uploaded to any cloud service.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

All information created by Snooze Goose is stored solely on your iPhone:

  • Sleep Records: Session start and end times, duration, and Snore Scores.
  • Snore Details: Event timestamps, duration, and loudness estimates.
  • Audio Highlights: Short sound clips of snoring events stored locally.
  • Bedtime Tags & Ratings: Any lifestyle tags you choose to add (e.g. coffee, alcohol, sleep position) and your morning rest ratings.
  • Preferences: Your chosen audio retention period and start delay settings.

4. No Tracking, Advertising, or Data Brokerage

Snooze Goose respects your digital privacy:

  • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA).
  • There are no third-party ad networks or tracking libraries included in the app.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.

5. Marketing, Promotion & Communications Policy

Ascendant Labs adheres to strict, transparent marketing and commercial communication practices for Snooze Goose:

  • Official App Store Marketing URL: In accordance with Apple App Store Connect developer guidelines, our official App Store Marketing URL is https://ascendantlabs.co/snooze-goose. This public page provides full product details, interactive screenshot walkthroughs, video demonstrations, and feature explanations prior to downloading.
  • Zero Unsolicited Commercial Email or Spam: The app does not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or social profiles for marketing. If you contact Ascendant Labs directly for technical support or feedback via email, your contact details are used solely to assist you with your inquiry and are never added to promotional mailing lists or shared with third parties.
  • No Behavioral Ad Profiling: We do not deploy tracking pixels, web beacons, or social advertising SDKs within the application. We do not construct marketing profiles of users or engage in retargeted advertising.
  • Transparent Commercial Terms: Any future optional features, in-app purchases, or tip jars will always feature transparent, upfront pricing governed strictly by Apple's secure In-App Purchase framework. We do not use dark patterns, deceptive marketing, or unannounced recurring subscriptions.
  • No Monetization of User Audio or Health Habits: We do not sell, license, share, or monetize any sleep recordings, bedtime tags, snore frequencies, or health data with insurance companies, pharmaceutical entities, or commercial advertising partners.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all data stays on your device, you have complete control over it:

  • Automatic Cleanup: You can choose how long audio clips are saved (e.g. 7, 14, or 30 days) in Settings. Older clips are automatically deleted.
  • Delete Nights: You can delete any individual night session and its clips directly from the night results screen.
  • Delete All Data: The app includes a "Delete All Data" option in Settings that instantly and permanently deletes all recorded sessions, tags, and audio clips from your device.
  • Uninstalling the App: Deleting Snooze Goose from your device immediately removes all stored app data.

7. Health & Medical Disclaimer

Not a Medical Device

Snooze Goose is designed for general wellness and lifestyle awareness only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or mitigate sleep apnea, respiratory disorders, or any health condition. Always consult a qualified medical professional for health and sleep concerns.

8. Children’s Privacy

Snooze Goose does not collect any personal information from children or any other users. Because no personal data is transferred off your device, no child data is ever collected or stored on external servers.
